One panel or two panels?

About replacement chair slings

PatioSlings.com makes two styles of custom replacement chair slings for dining chairs, lounge chairs, swivel rockers, recliners, and bar stools with single-ply slings. We sew replacements for frames from major outdoor furniture makers and most independent brands. If the rails take vinyl spline and the old fabric is a single-layer sling, we can remake it.

One-piece or two-piece

Choose the style that matches how your frame is built.

A one-piece chair sling is a single continuous panel that runs from the top of the back through the seat to the front rail. It is the most common setup on outdoor dining and lounge chairs: three measurements (length, front width, back width), one panel, one install.

A two-piece chair sling uses separate seat and back panels for frames with a hinge, break, or visible seam between seat and back. Each panel has its own rail channels and is locked in with spline. Six measurements - three per panel - keep the fit true when the seat and back move independently.

Not sure which you have? Look at the joint between seat and back. One unbroken panel means one-piece; a gap or seam at the hinge means two-piece. The measuring guide walks through both styles.

How every chair sling is built

All of our chair slings replacements are single-ply outdoor sling fabric - one layer of mesh, not a double-wrapped or pocket-style cover. Edges are sewn with Gore® Tenara® thread for UV stability and long outdoor life. Each side has a channel sized for standard 1/4″ or 5/16″ vinyl spline, which locks the fabric into the rail groove. Matching spline ships with the order so the panel seats cleanly in your frame.

Fabric options are the same catalog used on chaise slings and ottoman slings: Sunbrella®, Phifertex®, and Textilene® solution-dyed meshes that hold color in full sun, resist mildew, and are safe for poolside use. More than a hundred colors and patterns make it realistic to refresh a full set so everything matches.

Slings are cut and sewn in the USA from the dimensions you enter, to the nearest eighth inch. Current production lead time is 20 to 25 business days. Pick a style above to start your order, or review our fabric selection to see available color options.
