About Replacement Patio Ottoman and Footrest Slings
A patio ottoman sling is a single panel of outdoor sling fabric that drops into the rail channels of a matching patio ottoman, footrest, footstool, or leg rest.
The fabric slides into both side rails (and sometimes the front and back rails too) and locks in place with vinyl spline.
Ottoman slings are typically the simplest sling on the patio set, but the same fabrics and spline sizes apply, and matching the existing chair fabric is usually a priority.
We make replacement ottoman slings for Brown Jordan, Tropitone, Winston, Mallin, Telescope Casual, Woodard, Hampton Bay, and other major patio furniture brands.
Every ottoman sling we ship is custom-cut and hand-sewn in our USA workroom from your three measurements.
Nothing is stocked; each sling is made to order to fit your specific frame.
How to Measure a Patio Ottoman Sling
Take all three measurements with the old sling still installed, if possible.
Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch.
If the old sling is gone or stretched, measure the rail-channel dimensions directly off the frame.
- Length: measured along the spline groove on one of the side rails, front to back.
- Front Width: rail-channel to rail-channel across the front of the ottoman.
- Back Width: rail-channel to rail-channel across the back of the ottoman. On a square ottoman this matches the front width.

Spline Sizes
Every replacement ottoman sling includes vinyl spline to lock it into the rail channels.
Pick the spline thickness that matches your existing spline: 1/4" or 5/16".
Most ottoman frames use the same spline size as the matching chair, so check the chair if you're not sure.
We also sell vinyl spline cord separately by the foot, cut to your length.
Outdoor Sling Fabric Options
Choose from three families of solution-dyed outdoor sling fabric.
All are UV-stable, mildew-resistant, and rated for poolside use:
- Sunbrella Sling: 100% solution-dyed acrylic and vinyl-coated polyester yarns. Premium quality, soft texture, fade resistance, and a five-year fabric warranty.
- Phifertex: vinyl-coated polyester mesh with hundreds of solid and jacquard patterns. Excellent breathability and a great value compared to Sunbrella.
- Textilene: PVC-coated polyester woven sling fabric. Strong, easy to clean, and the standard choice for many original-equipment patio furniture brands.
