Samsonite Furniture built aluminum sling patio sets throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s before exiting the outdoor furniture business. Their heavy-gauge tube frames outlive the original slings by decades. Three-decade-old Samsonite frames with a fresh sling and a coat of paint are indistinguishable from new.
Samsonite is one of the most common remake requests we see, and the rebuild is a well-worn path, and spline groove geometry hasn't changed since the frames were made.
